• Question: Is there lots of animals that we havent discovered yet?

      Hey Eloise – on land there are probably a few. Local environment can be really important for evolution and there are definitely pockets of the world which are still under explored. The other place we could find new species is at the bottom of the oceans – we’ve only explored about 5% of the Earth’s oceans (mostly the bits near the surface). The deep oceans could still contain lots of new species that we don’t know about yet!

      I think it is estimate we have discovered only one quarter of all the animals on the planet.
