I’m surprised not many people have heard of the LHC, especially after all the nonsense negative media attention, with regards to black holes and the end of the world. I don’t work in particle physics, so I don’t know much about it either, other than the basic aims of the project. I’d like to know more, but it is complicated sub-atomic particle physics.

Hey Matt – I don’t work on the LHC but it does really exciting stuff. I think everyone should know about it – then they can decide for themselves whether they find it interesting too 🙂

Sure, it’s one of the biggest scientific projects in the world today. I look after some of the LHC’s data, and while part of my job includes telling people about what we do, it’s always hard to reach as many people as we would like to.
