      Hi NRM2468. Because I want to be able to do scientific research long term, which requires you to have a PhD to get further jobs. I hardly ever remember I’m doing a PhD because it’s only during the last few months of it, do you have to write it up as a thesis. Most of the work I do is the same as the Post-Docs, Lecturers and Professors at the university – I have to do new research, teach and drink coffee…
