If they did, I think we’d probably have found them by now. However… we’ve actually only explored about 5% (!) of the world’s oceans (i.e. the bits near the surface), so it’s very possible that there are all kinds of things down there that we don’t know about 🙂
Our observations say… no. But that doesn’t stop scientists (who are being a bit playful) thinking about them and figuring out how, if they were real, their biology might work.
