      It’s a weather station which is powered by a Raspberry Pi computer. Small RPi computers are about £25 to buy. They’re really easy to connect external sensors to, like temperature, humidity and pressure. That means you can have data from these sensors feeding back to a miniature computer. If it’s connected to the internet, you can broadcast your data online and see what the weather is like from the comfort of your home.

      The idea for the money is that I could provide a few schools with one of these devices. Students can log in to the RPi and analyse the data, as well as learning how to program in C, Python etc. Both very useful skills for many real-life jobs.
