• Question: What is the best thing about being involved in these science projects e.g the people you meet, the kit you use.

      Hi Matt – it’s really difficult to pick a single thing… the kit is pretty cool and you do get to play with some really high tech gadgets. And of course you get to meet some amazing people – and to meet them all over the world, so the travel is fun as well. Telescopes tend to be built in very remote parts of the world, so as an astronomer you often get to travel to places that very few other people ever go. That’s pretty special.

      You’ve pretty much answered the question for me. On top of finding out new things about the universe, you meet brilliant people from around the world and I get to use equipment that not many people get to use too. As a geek, I very much enjoy using the supercomputer… 😀
