It’s really hard to pick! Probably Barryar, which is part of The Vorkosigan Saga by Lois McMaster Bujold, a huge series of space opera books. Just before this book Cordelia Naismith has run away from captain of a survey ship exploring a potential new colony — now she is the queen regent helping rule a world in the galaxy for the 5-year old emperor. But things are about to get difficult…
      – strong female lead, great writing, strong plot
      – multiple cultures with really different values — they clash but coexist
      – scifi where there are real changes in society & technology but also real people

So rereadable…. now I need to go find my copy again!

I have so many! I quite like small gods by Terry Pratchett. Recently I’ve enjoyed Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit by Jeanette Winterson and Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith (though that last one is a little violent, so I would check with someone else before reading it)

My favourite Sci-Fi book was a series called ‘Saga of the Seven Suns’ by Kevin J Anderson.
