      Difficult… I’d probably go for Nicolaus Copernicus. He was the first person to say that the Earth orbited the Sun. It was a massively revolutionary thing to declare because before then everyone thought that the Earth was stationary and everything else orbited the Earth. It shifted not only scientific ideals but also had massive impacts on religious beliefs at the time. It’s even called the “Copernican Revolution”.
