I get to do interesting work & talk to people about ideas. That’s fun!

And my work helps people. How? Mainly I work on how we pull together evidence (like how we know that two medications shouldn’t be taken together; or how groups make decisions in Wikipedia).

It’s a fun job with interesting people. I get to work on a project that helps us understand the deepest secrets of our Universe.

Because you get to see the cutting edge of the sum of human kinds knowledge. If you’re really lucky you get to extend that edge a little bit as well.

I love being ahead of the game. I enjoy knowing that I’m working on things that could potentially change the way we look at the Universe.

If you think about all the things we didn’t know 100 or even only 50 years ago, it’s shocking. When I look back 50 years from now at the breakthroughs that our science will have made, it’s going to be great to say, “Wow, I was part of that” 🙂

I love Science because it’s a subject I can never get bored with. There are so many unknowns to explore, and when you’ve worked something out, you can be sure there are plenty more questions to answer. In the process of doing this, you meet some fantastic (and maybe a little eccentric) people to work with and share ideas. Science isn’t just a subject area, but a way of life – and a great community too.
